Access should follow the reservation—not a shared code.

A lock can recognize a credential. The operating system must decide why it should work, when it should expire, and what changes when the booking moves or cancels.

The 5 Layers of Unmanned Operations

Reliable unattended entry connects identity, an eligible reservation, required payment or waiver state, timed access, and an auditable recovery path.

  • Issue unique credentials rather than shared PINs.
  • Open and close the window in the club timezone.
  • Propagate moves, extensions, cancellations, and refunds.
  • Document lock, network, power, and phone failure paths.

Test on site

Badge-to-connected status is not enough. Run early arrival, expiration, cancellation, midnight close, controller disconnect, and remote support scenarios at the actual door.

Keep security attributable

Reservation-linked logs let staff connect an entry attempt to the customer journey without pretending cameras or hardware replace policy.

Evaluate with a real workflow

Test the exception, not only the happy path.

Build one representative booking, then change, cancel, cover, message, and reconcile it before committing your operation to a platform.
